Responsible for the quality of Cardiac Cath Lab studies. Operates all cath lab equipment and digital equipment. Supervises the work of other personnel who operate X-ray and digital equipment. Performs all cath lab duties such as scrub assistant, x-ray equipment and digital equipment operation as indicated. Contributes to the general operation of the department by picking up supplies, stocking supplies, and keeping the work area orderly. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development to perform procedures on and assist in the care of the adult and geriatric patient. The Registered Technologist (R.T.) will be a graduate of an AMA approved Allied Health program. A Louisiana license is required plus prior cath lab experience.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Must be a registered/licensed technologist and capable of working a flexible schedule.
Must be familiar with functions of diagnostic imaging department via professional training.
Must possess license from Louisiana State Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners as minimum requirement.
Must have visual and auditory skills, computer keyboard skills, be able to read and speak English, have good long and short-term memory, be able to interact effectively with the public, and be able to position patients as necessary.
Requires prolonged periods of walking, standing and/or sitting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and using fingers repetitively.
Must be able to work at a personal computer or computer terminal.
Must be able to work week-ends and holidays, various hours or shifts.
